Wenn wir schonmal bei 80er-Jahre-Kultserien sind: Hab grad' gelesen, das Mr. T Christ ist!!! Auf der Seite von Willow Creek war da ein Bericht dazu:

When Mr. T. entered a contest as America’s toughest bodyguard, he told his pastor that if he won, he would give all the money to his church. He won and made good on his promise. Sylvester Stallone spotted the contest winner on television and that’s how Mr. T. got the part of Clubber Lang, Rocky’s worthy opponent in Rocky III. “God has done all of this,” says Mr. T.

Diagnosed with cancer nine years ago, Mr. T. has never once asked God to remove the disease. Instead, he has only prayed that God would give him the strength to endure it so he can bless other people. Like Job in the Bible, Mr. T. has come to a place where he looks to God and says, “I trust and praise you in the midst of all this.” Not exactly what you would expect from a Hollywood celebrity.

At age 52, Mr. T is active in charity work. You won’t find him seeking the limelight, but when the cameras aren’t rolling, he’ll show up in the cancer wards of children’s hospitals. It’s where he lifts the spirits of the young patients, praying with them and encouraging them. Ask him why and he’ll tell you he sees his cancer as an opportunity to bless others.
